Recently, a former BJP minister joined Ajit Pawar’s faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and another is set to become an official candidate for the Shiv Sena (Shinde) this Wednesday, 23rd October. In Sindhudurg district, Nilesh Rane, son of well-known BJP leader Narayan Rane and a former MP, will run as the Shinde Sena’s candidate in Kudal. His official entry into the Sena is expected soon. This is a key moment for the Rane family, as Narayan lost the Kudal seat in 2014 when he ran as a Congress candidate. Now, both of his sons are competing in the elections, with Nitesh Rane already serving as a sitting MLA. This strategy could strengthen their influence in the region. Watch video for more
