Cyclone Fengal likely to make landfall today in Puducherry

Cyclone Fengal is set to hit the coast of Puducherry today in an estimated landfall. Many coastal areas are experiencing changes in weather, including high tides, rainfall, Rough sea and gusty winds. Due to the impact of Cyclone Fengal, coastal areas in Chennai witnessed changes in weather with gusty winds and rain. Cyclone Fengal brought heavy rains in many areas in Tamil Nadu. Rough sea, strong winds have also moved in, in coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh as cyclone Fengal is approaching the state. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Cyclone Fengal will hit the coastal area by today evening. A red alert was issued for various parts of the southern states in view of incessant rainfall.
