Relentless rainfall has wreaked havoc across India’s northeastern states — and the state of Manipur is one of the worst affected. These drone visuals from Manipur show the scale of devastation... entire cities are submerged, and streets have turned into rivers. Residents are seen walking through knee-deep water, with boats now being used to ferry people and provide emergency relief. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday reached out to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, and Manipur Governor Ajay Bhalla to assess the flood situation. The Prime Minister assured full support from the Central Government.
