Social media and messaging apps like WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram suffered an outage on Monday evening, with users unable to access the services, stated an ANI tweet.

"Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on it and we'll get it fixed as soon as we can," a message on the Facebook website read.
"5xx Server Error," read the message when a mid-day online correspondent tried to access the website.
