A young fashion enthusiast’s wardrobe becomes a reservoir for a thrifting project that’s worth checking out
Crescencia D’Souza
Mumbai-based graphic designer and illustrator Melody Crescencia D’Souza has a wardrobe full of surprises. A collector of trendy curios, clothing and design pieces, D’Souza, 24, has a quirky fashion sense, which reflects on her thrift platform, Untamed Melody, on Instagram.

She started the page earlier in February, in the hope of “purging” the cherished pieces from her wardrobe that she had outgrown in mind. These were pieces that deserved a second life in someone else’s wardrobe, she says. “My style has always been experimental, and it reflects in the pieces in my store. And thrifting allows for an easy, inexpensive way to experiment with your own style, on a budget.
The sourcing at the moment is entirely from my own wardrobe, and in the future, I plan to open it up to other people and curate pieces from their wardrobes at affordable prices,” shares D’Souza. From a denim jumpsuit to a neon trench coat, a lace top to a baby pink trench dress, some of the pieces are quite wow and flashy.
