Amrini Mudholkar, 30 Language teacher
Mudholkar is a freelance language teacher who specialises in Japanese and German language training. Realising that some people might find learning in groups intimidating, she started personalised lessons. She uses YouTube videos, movies, songs, games and even memes to help her students understand the culture while learning its language. She makes it a point to understand the goals of each of her students before she starts teaching, and then customises the sessions accordingly. Having been raised in different parts of the country, Mudholkar was exposed to a variety of languages and cultures at an early age. The spoken word fascinated her, making her want to learn as many languages as possible. While an interest in Japanese culture drove her to learn the language, her German language training won her a scholarship to Berlin. Upon her return, she taught at FLAME University, Pune, as a visiting faculty member.
