In this technology-driven world, it's hard for both parents and children to engage at an intimate level and have meaningful conversations with each other. To bridge this gap, playwright and theatre director Zubin Driver, who has been conducting theatre workshops and process-driven rehearsals for over 20 years, decided to come up with a unique workshop titled Theatre for Child-like Parenting. "Parent-child relationships are more fragile than before and we see a lot of couples struggling to create quality time for their kids. What better way than to use theatre as an apparatus and a tool-box to celebrate, explore and enjoy the magic of the parent-child relationship," says Driver.

The workshop will explore how parent-child relationships are under stress and how difficult it is to create new layers of understanding and bonding between them. Through theatre exercises, new channels of communication between parents and children will be explored. "The combination of theatre and imaginative exercises can create new spaces within existing relationships, which unleash the possibilities of better connectivity," adds Driver, who has worked extensively with children in multiple theatre workshops.

The focus is on "self-inquiry via theatre" to enable deep experiences for participants. "The idea is to give our children memories and not just memory cards; ignite that special soul-connect that only you can share with your child," says Driver.
