Former World No. 1 golfer Rory McIlroy may have missed his chance of winning the Masters, but he is excited about his grand wedding to fianceé Erica Stoll on April 21.
After The Masters ended, McIlroy expressed disappointment that he would not be wearing a shade of Augusta Green on his big day.
"It's a great time in my life. It would have been nice to walk down the aisle in the green jacket."
Nonetheless, he is happy about the prospect of becoming a married man. "We're very excited. It's a great time in our lives and it's all about that over the next couple of weeks. I'll come back at the Players Championship refreshed and a married man and start a new chapter in my life," McIlroy was quoted by Irish Independent.
The 27-year-old is likely to walk down the aisle at the Ashford Castle — widely regarded as one of the fanciest and the most romantic hotels in the world. The place is special for the couple as they celebrated the New Year there for the past two years.
