Six races for Mumbai’s season-opener

The picturesque, lush green turf track at the Mahalaxmi racecourse will come alive to the thunder of hooves on Sunday. With nearly all horses stationed at Pune having arrived at Mumbai, the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) Ltd have planned a six-race Sunday opener.

 

In the feature race, the R N Kanga Trophy for class I horses, the Vishal Gaikwad-trained Victorious Sermon appears to have better credentials than his six rivals. He is tipped to win from Flying Visit and Augustus Caesar.

 

First race at 3.30 pm.
