India’s PV Sindhu progressed to the knockout stage of the BWF World Tour Finals with a straight-games win over Germany’s Yvonne Li in her second Group A match here on Thursday.

Sindhu outplayed World No. 23 Li 21-10, 21-13 in 31 minutes and will square off against top seed Pornpawee Chochuwong of Thailand next in her last group match.
Meanwhile, India’s men’s doubles duo of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy pulled out of the tournament due to injury. On Wednesday, Denmark’s Kim Astrup-Anders Skaarup Rasmussen had beaten the Indian pair 21-16, 21-5 in just 40 minutes.
