YMCA 'A' beat Hoopers 301 to clinch Callan Cup

Hosts Bombay YMCA caused an upset of sorts by beating fancied Hoopers 3-1 in the final of the Callan Cup volleyball tournament, at Agripada’s Jhulla Maidan.

After an hour long tussle, the YMCA outfit prevailed 25-17, 27-25, 23-25, 25-17 to regain the cup after three years. While YMCA’s Kalpesh Patel was given the Player of the Tournament award, YMCA’s Atul Kumbhar was adjudged as the Best Booster and Hoopers’ Wasim Shaikh was given the Best Striker trophy.
