WWE Raw General Manager Kurt Angle was unavailable and hence Ambrose and The Miz were managing the event. Finn Balor faced the Miz in the opening match. After Miz disqualified himself, Ambrose came out and restarted the match. Finn Balor then executed the 'coup de grace' over Miz to win.
As Braun Strowman faced Kalisto, Roman Reigns appeared in response to Strowman's earlier comment on Raw. Reigns and Strowman fought each other and brawled outside the ring. Both injured WWE superstars countered each others moves, but it was Roman Reigns who stood tall after attacking Braun Strowman with a chair.
Alexa Bliss faced former friend Mickie James, as Nia Jax and Bayley were ringside. After a distraction from Nia, Alexa Bliss pinned Mickey James for the win. Sasha Banks defeated Alicia Fox in their match.
Cesaro and Sheamus showed resilience as they defeated Enzo Amore and Big Cass, Heath Slater and Rhyno, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows in a tag-team turmoil match to be the number one contenders for WWE Raw tag team titles.
Samoa Joe had the upperhand against Seth Rollins, attacking his injured knee. Seth Rollins then came back and had many falls on Joe. Seth Rollins was then knocked on an open turnbuckle during the match. Despite the referee's warning, Samoa Joe threw Seth Rollins into the turnbuckle again and was disqualified.
Dean Ambrose's match against Bray Wyatt on WWE Raw's main event had The Miz was on commentary. During the match, Miz grabbed Ambrose's Intercontinental Championship. Dean Ambrose attacked the Miz, but the latter hit the champion with the Intercontinental title. Bray Wyatt then hit 'sister Abigail' on Dean Ambrose to win the match.
