Dominic Thiem does not give costly gifts to girlfriend Kristina

Austrian tennis star Dominic Thiem has said he doesn't give costly gifts to girlfriend and French player Kristina Mladenovic, but only precious things.

Dominic, 26, and Kristina, 26, made their relationship public in December 2017.

"I do not give her anything really costly. Only emotional precious things. My luxury is that I can eat all the healthy things I want to. That I can buy things in stores, for example. I should appreciate it," the World No. 5 was quoted as saying by Tennis World USA.

Thiem, earlier, had praised his girlfriend Kristina's team spirit. "She is a way tougher character on the court than I am. She handles defeat and victory better than I do, so I can learn a lot from her. Also, she is an unbelievable Fed Cup player and is in the final again this year. She can raise her level when it comes to playing for friends," he added.
