Tennis ace Lleyton Hewitt set to cash in on newborn with SMS service

Celebrities are known to sell pictures, videos and even stories of their newborns to glossy magazines and media networks. However, here's a new and an innovative way of raking in the moolah through an infant.

Australian tennis star Lleyton Hewitt is all set to cash-in on his newborn's birth by charging fans for the privilege of finding out the name of his child.

However, people won't get to know the child's name just yet. Fans who want to find out the baby's name will have to subscribe to a premium SMS service called 'Text A Star,' reported the Sydney Morning Herald.

The SMS service costs $ 2 per message and was set up, its creators say on their website, to allow sports fans to "get a unique insight into the life of your favourite player ufffd without any media filter."

Hewitt posted on his website on Saturday: "Bec, Mia, Cruz and I welcomed a beautiful baby girl into our family last Tuesday. Mum and baby are great! Dad, big sister and brother elated. The name of the new addition will be sent through Text A Star later in the week."

Through the SMS service, sports stars send two messages a week to update subscribers about training and life in general. A message promoting the service on Hewitts's website reads:u00a0 "You can receive a text message from Lleyton twice a week, providing you an insight on his thoughts of life on the tennis tour. The texts will actually be written by Lleyton himself, not any management or media people." It is unclear how much the couple will profit from the service.

Further, there is speculation the Hewitts have signed a million dollar deal with a magazine to publish the first pictures of the child.
