Romanian tennis beauty Simona Halep in a recent conversation with defending US Open doubles champion Bethanie Mattek-Sands for the web series GameSetMattektaking has spoken of how she was in awe of New York city when she first visited it 10 years ago.
"Night sessions in New York are unbelievable. It is always a nice feeling to be here. Whenever I come here, I feel good. It was 10 years ago when I first visited the city, I was in awe of the huge buildings. I would keep looking at them and they seem never ending," said the World No. 2.
When Mattek-Sands asked her about what she loves doing to unwind, she was quick to add that home is where her heart is.
"I make sure that I go home after every tournament. I get a lot of energy and positive vibes when I visit my family. I feel that my heart yearns to be home," added Halep, who told how she felt good to be back on the court from a back injury in 2008
