Denny Crane, Paramour and Sydney Harbour are among the nine runners in the fray for the Sir Charles Forbes Trophy
Denny Crane, Paramour and Sydney Harbour are among the nine runners in the fray for the Sir Charles Forbes Trophy, a class II affair, which is slated as the feature event of Thursday's seven-race card at Mahalaxmi.

Denny Crane from Pesi Shroff's yard advertised his return to excellent fitness when he mocked another class II set over five furlongs. He can certainly hold his own over the extended furlong, and is clearly the horse to beat.
Sydney Harbour, though not in great heart, has had a lung-opener this season and will be hoping to exploit the advantage she has at the scales. But it is Paramour, from trainer Mansing Jadhav's barn, who holds my interest. Unlucky to have lost in her only outing at Pune, Paramour has run a mock race ten days ago in which she looked fit as a fiddle. I expect her to emerge victorious in a close finish from Denny Crane and Sydney Harbour.
