"Congratulations @narendramodi sir for being declared the best PM in the world by @UNESCO #ProudIndian @PMOIndia," wrote Advani.
The Arjuna award winner did not verify the news before tweeting and Twitterati went berserk — including famous author Chetan Bhagat. Bhagat, who wrote: "Also @UNESCO has declared @smritiirani best HRD minister in heavy weight category Please retweet @PankajAdvani247."
A few users even felt that Advani's verified account will now be unverified for sharing such fake news.
Once the 30-year-old relaised that the news was fake, he did not delete his tweet.
Instead, he wrote, "I know I got my facts wrong but this apparently gets more attention than when I win a WORLD TITLE!!."
