In fact, the swimmer has even danced on the deck to Bieber's music during the 2010 US nationals. He also tweeted her a congratulatory message when she won her first gold medal at the 2012 Olympics in London and sent her a packet that contained his CDs and posters after which the two met at one of his concerts in January.
Bad boy Bieber
However, the young pop star has been indulging in a flurry of not-so-pleasant activities in the recent past. Twenty-year-old Bieber was earlier this year accused and charged by a Los Angeles County District attorney for throwing eggs at his neighbour's home. He was ordered to pay a compensation of $80,900 for damage caused to the neighbour's mansion in January.
Drunk driving
In the same month, Bieber was also accused of drunk driving in Miami. He was arrested in the early hours of January 23, while racing down a Miami Beach street in a yellow Lamborghini a good 15 to 20mph over the prescribed speed limit. It is due to these reasons that teenager Franklin (19) has decided to distance herself from the young star.
"I don't agree with all of his life decisions lately, so I've moved on a little from that," Franklin said recently at a news conference during the national championship meet in Irvine, California.
