Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani has kickstarted a new campaign on Twitter urging people to put up photos of them wearing handloom.

The campaign was to support Indian textiles, weavers and craftsmanship.
Irani initiated the campaign when she shared a picture of herself sporting a blue handwoven sari on Twitter. She captioned the post, "Indian handlooms symbolise India's heritage & culture. Wear it to carry on our rich tradition and support 43 lakh weavers & their families."
