Coach GS Sangha, who has worked closely with the wrestler said, "It was not just testing times for Narsingh but everybody at SAI. There was a lot of pressure on us too. There was lobbying against our wrestler and all that we prayed for is that he gets a chance to go to Rio. Finally, truth has won over evil and that's what matters."
Another coach Ajay Singh said that he is confident of Narsingh performing well at Rio. "It is a matter of pride for everybody here at SAI. He is our hero. He is aware of the expectations and he will give his best in Rio."
Sandeep Kate, a junior wrestler in the 74kg category said that it was party time for the hostel mates. "We all felt relieved after the verdict and our coaches distributed jalebis at the training arena. There was also a special dinner that the cook prepared for all of us," Kate said.
