"I have two phobias. Going to the dentist and to face a spider," said Sharapova, who missed half of 2013 due to a shoulder injury, but made a fine comeback this year having climbed to No 2 in the world.
She won her fifth Grand Slam trophy at the French Open besides pocketing titles at Stuttgart, Madrid and Beijing.
Sharapova failed to beat American Serena Williams in the finals of the WTA Tour Finals in Singapore recently though and had to settle for second spot.
However, the World No 2 isn't complaining. "I know I'm not moving forward, but I'm proud of that effort and to finish the year off on this way. I will not be chasing the No 1 ranking next season. I think adding more Grand Slams is the top priority," said the 27-year-old.

Meanwhile, Sharapova also spoke of her Hollywood interests. She adores American super star Gwyneth Paltrow and said that if ever a movie would be made on her, then Paltrow should play the lead role.

"I've always admired her films. She is a very stylish and elegant. My favourite movie is Something's Gotta Give with Jack Nicholson," added Sharapova.
Meanwhile, her love life is going on just fine. Recent reports suggested that the Russian beauty had split from boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov.
However, earlier last month, Sharapova showed off a ring that Dimitrov had gifted her, via Twitter to suggest all is well.
