Both the teams battled tooth-and-nail in a hard-fought contest. The first half with scores levelled at 0-0.
After the breather, Stanislaus dominated early part of the half, but Don Bosco counter-attacked and as a result scored the decisive goal to break the deadlock.
Against the run of play, Bosco’s Pratej Lanjewar found himself with the ball just outside the opponents D-line. He dodged and dribbled his way past three defenders and calmly struck the ball in the back of the net. Thereafter, Stanislaus continued to fight back but failed to score the equalizer as Bosco boys emerged winners.
With this win, Bosco’s ‘B’ team set up title clash with their ‘A’ team, who beat St Theresa, Bandra 4-1.
