Kolkata: The Netaji Indoor stadium's media room plunged into darkness for around a minute on Wednesday evening during the conference of Tennis Masters where legend Martina Navratilova was addressing the media.

Navratilova and Leander Paes lost to Mahesh Bhupathi and Sania Mirza 5-7, 5-7 in the contest which preceded the media meet.

All the four tennis stars were sharing a joke when suddenly the lights went out. Some of the journalists and camera persons had to use their cell phones' light to see what was happening.

However, power supply was restored after around a minute or so and the players had a hearty laugh about it.

In the past, similar failures had marred international and national sporting events at the city's Eden Gardens and Salt Lake stadium.
