Karen Pais scored the all-important winning goal as Mumbai carved out a hard-fought 1-0 win over Pune in the final of the MDFA-organised LIC-Maharashtra State Inter-District Senior Women's Football Championship at Cooperage recently.

The victorious Mumbai team after winning the LIC-Maharashtra State Inter-District Senior women's football final in which they beat Pune 1-0 at Cooperage recently

Karen, who replaced Rita Cassia Ukachukwu in the 41st minute, tapped in the winner in the 53rd minute of the 60-minute encounter.

The Mumbai team received a trophy and cheque of Rs 15,000, while Pune won a cash prize of Rs 10,000.
