Kabaddi: Badal believes in same prize for men and women

Buoyed by the success of the fifth Kabaddi World Cup, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Saturday announced to double the prize money for Women’s World Cup from existing Rs 1 crore to Rs 2 crore.

Badal (Muktsar): Buoyed by the success of the fifth Kabaddi World Cup, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Saturday announced to double the prize money for Women’s World Cup from existing Rs 1 crore to Rs 2 crore.


Addressing the gathering during the closing ceremony of the tournament at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Badal hailed the sportsman spirit exhibited by all the participating teams in the fortnight-long extravaganza.


He said that the state government was a firm believer of egalitarian society so no discrimination was made between male and female in any field.
