Mumbai: Defending champions Rizvi Springfield (Bandra) beat Anjuman-I-Islam (Urdu) by virtue of a first innings lead to enter the final of the Harris Shield Elite Div on Day Three at Shivaji Park yesterday.

Rizvi bowled their opponents out for 221 after scoring 327 in the first innings. Harendra Yadav scored 126 for Anjuman. For Rizvi, left-arm-spinner Sidak Singh took four wickets, giving away 89 runs and Prithvi Shaw took 3-32. Rizvi were 224-5 at close of play.
Meanwhile, in the other semi-final, IES VN Sule Guruji (Dadar) beat IES Raja Shivaji Vidyalaya (Dadar) by an innings and 26 runs.
Sule Guruji made 355 in their first essay while Raja Shivaji scored 204. In the second innings, Sule Guruji’s Dhruva Vedak took six wickets to help his team enter the final in style. The final will at Bombay Gymkhana from Jan 21-24.
