IABF to amend constitution, hold re-elections: Raja

The provisionally suspended Indian Amateur Boxing Federation (IABF) is willing to comply with the parent body International Boxing Association's (AIBA) directive to amend its constitution and hold a re-election

IABF’s senior vice-president Brig PK Muralidharan Raja, who met AIBA president Dr Ching-Kuo Wu in Yerevan, Armenia on Friday said: “The international federation (AIBA) has asked us to amend our constitution to make it compliant with the AIBA statute and hold a re-election in the presence of an AIBA observer.u00a0

Once we do that, the AIBA will lift the suspension the moment IOC lifts the ban on the IOA because that is the primary reason for our suspension,”
