In domestic cricket, it's not often that Mumbai gives the opposition a chance to dominate a match.
But in their Ranji Trophy tie against Himachal Pradesh, the hosts have done it thrice. The visitors could not capitalise on the first two occasions, but on the final day today, they have every chance to go for glory.

Having conceded the first innings lead, Mumbai, in desperate need for an outright victory to collect maximum points, declared their second innings at 335 for 7 thanks to a face-saving unbeaten 102 by Ajit Agarkar and a crucial 52 from No 9 Iqbal Abdulla. Himachal were set 252 to win and were four for no loss at close of play.

"The sporting declaration has given us a great chance to win against Mumbai. You play sport for moments like these when you have the chance to realise your dream of beating Mumbai at home," said Himachal coach Rajdeep Kalsi.

For Mumbai, who need maximum points to ensure they a comfortable passage to the play-offs, picking up early wickets will be the key. Himachal will depend on former Mumbai players Vinit Indulkar and Bhavin Thakkar.
