Ankit Yadav and Himanshu Singh showed their class and temperament to help Al-Barkaat MMI English School (Kurla) post 276 against IES VN Sule Guruji School (Dadar) on Day Two of the Mumbai School Sports Association-organised Giles Shield Elite Division final at the Mumbai Cricket Association-Bandra Kurla Complex ground yesterday. Ankit top-scored with 88 while Himanshu was unbeaten on 79 as the Kurla outfit dominated the Dadar school.

In the morning session, Ankit displayed a variety of strokes before Atharva Bhosale bowled him. Then, Himanshu along with partner Anurag Singh (24), stitched a 72-run partnership for the ninth wicket before the Kurla outfit were bowled out for 276.

For VN Sule, Atharva finished with figures of seven for 96. The Dadar school ended the day on 32-5 off 33 overs in their second innings. Al-Barkaat's left-arm spinner Anurag Singh ended the day with four for 16.
