Don Bosco (Matunga) defeated St Lawrence (Kandivli) 2-0 to lift the inaugural District Sports Office (DSO) - Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) U-17 knockout football title at Azad Maidan ground on Friday.
After a goalless first half, Don Bosco defender Keanu D’Souza opened the scoring with a long range shot in the 25th minute. Five minutes later, striker Neville D’Cunha scored with a shot into the right corner of the net.
Goal-scorer Keanu said his team could not have hoped for a better start to the new inter-school football season. “We couldn’t have asked for a better start to the new season. I am confident that we will win many more tournaments in the coming months,” said Keanu.u00a0
