The ruling on her case by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) is expected by July 18, but Sharapova is not wasting any time.

She already has her sugar candy business — Sugarpova running successfully, and is now looking forward to a degree from the Boston University.

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) banned Sharapova in June, after a positive test for the banned substance meldonium during January's Australian Open.

In a press conference in March to give her side of the story, Sharapova said that she has been taking meldonium since 2006 as a preventive measure for health reasons.

Almost 200 athletes have tested positive for meldonium so far this year, after the drug was placed on the banned list by WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) in January.

The five-time Grand Slam champion's appeal to CAS was filed earlier in June with the goal of either reducing or completely eliminating the ban.

One possibility is to have the ban reduced by six months and backdate it to the day she tested positive, which would allow her to compete in the 2016 Olympics. She has already been named in the Rio-bound Russia's team.

Sharapova however, didn't specify what course she would study in the US.

A caption adjoining her Twitter picture read: "Not sure how this happened but Hey Harvard! Can't wait to start the program!"
