1. First time in NBA History
The 2017 NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers is the third straight Finals match-up between these two teams, the first time this has happened in NBA history.
2. Unbeaten Warriors
The Warriors made it to the Finals on the back of their unbeaten 12-0 Playoff run while the Cavaliers dropped just one game to get there (12-1)
3. LeBron – The Legend
This is LeBron James’ seventh straight Finals (only the sixth player in NBA history to achieve this feat) and third straight as a Cavaliers’ player
4. Kevin Durant’s long wait
While the core of the Warriors’ team (Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala, Draymond Green and Shaun Livingston) have been to three straight NBA Finals, this is Kevin Durant’s first trip to the big stage since his 2012 Finals trip with the Oklahoma City Thunder
5. Record Feat
The combined 24-1 record is the best mark for both the team, Warriors and Cavaliers entering The Finals in NBA history.
