In a recent revelation on British footballer Jay Bothroyd’s relationships, it has been brought to light that he had an affair with television actress Lisa Snowdon behind his wife’s back.

Lisa fell for Jay, who is married to Stella Pozzi-Bothroyd, during a London awards ceremony in 2010. "Lisa had no idea. He told her the marriage was over," a friend close to the couple told The Sun.

Lisa was planning on living with the 34-year-old striker and the couple even looked at plots of land to build a home on.

However, they soon called off the relationship and Jay was back with his wife Stella, who had discovered the fling, but forgiven him.

A source said: "Lisa had no idea when she began dating Jay he was still with Stella. He said he was single. So it was a real shock when she found out he had lied."
