England footballer Peter Crouch proved to be the laughing stock on social media recently with a witty one-liner on Twitter.

The Stoke City striker, currently holidaying in Sardinia, an island in the Mediterranean sea, posted a picture (left) oh himself feeding two giraffes. Crouch, who was earned a reputation as a light-hearted joker, wrote: “Summer for me is about time with family,” he wrote. Ex-Arsenal striker Ian Wright responded with several love hearts and grinning emojis.

Crouch’s tweet has gone viral on social media and has been shared over 100,000 times and ‘favourited’ by over 200,000 people.
