British reality TV actor Dan Edgar admitted that it’s weird his ex-girlfriend Kate Wright is getting too close to former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand. According to The Sun, Kate was spotted numerous times spending the night with Ferdinand, but Edgar says “he didn’t think he’d be her type”.

“I know I’ve made mistakes in the past, but I feel disappointed. I want her to be happy, but this just seems a bit weird,”

Edgar told Daily Star. Edgar and Kate called it quits before Christmas last year after dating for six years. “I can’t see us getting back together after this,” he added.

Meanwhile, sources close to Kate revealed she’s taking it slow with Ferdinand as the couple strive to keep their relationship away from the spotlight. However, the 38-year-old football star is still grieving the loss of his wife Rebecca, who passed away in May 2015. “Rio and Kate have enjoyed spending time with each other and other friends. There’s a real connection there but Rio is in no rush to turn this into a serious relationship. His number one priority are his three kids and he will always put their welfare in front of anything else,” a source said.
