Due to insufficient evidence, prosecutors have ended their investigation into the Borussia Dortmund footballer, nicknamed ‘Rolls Reus’, who was suspected of continuing to have driven without a valid licence after initially being caught in 2014.
The 26-year-old was handed the hefty fine last December when it emerged he had been driving without a valid licence since 2011 after being stopped for speeding in March 2014 and handed over a fake Dutch driving licence to German police.
