Manchester City have announced the signing of Australian Daniel Arzani, 19, from Melbourne City. Arzani was the youngest player at the 2018 World Cup. The attacking midfielder is now poised to leave the Premier League champions on a loan deal.

EPL clubs cannot recruit players on loan after the summer transfer deadline, so City appear to be suggesting a move abroad. The recruitment of Arzani is with an eye on the future.

Daniel Arzani plays as an attacking midfielder. At the age of 19, Arzani was called into Australia's preliminary squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on 7 May 2018.
