England striker Vardy lauds wife for discussing about failed suicide attempt inside I'm a Celebrity house
Leicester City and England footballer Jamie Vardy has praised his wife Rebekah for sharing her suicide attempt and sexual abuse inside the I'm a Celebrity house. Vardy felt that Rebekah, 35, was helping millions through her brave revelations. In a recent episode she told the housemates how a family friend sexually abused her when she was just 14 and she virtually went into depression. "Obviously when she was younger she struggled with those issues and struggled to talk to people about it. But sharing her experiences helps her, and now she's talked about it live on TV in front of 11 or 12 million viewers. I'm incredibly proud of her for coming out about it," Vardy told British tabloid, The Sun.

The former model even spoke about her battle with post-natal depression that followed her second pregnancy with baby Taylor. Rebekah told Iain Lee in the camp: "Because when I was that age it was something that was pushed under the carpet and it had such a bad effect on me and I made such horrific decisions in life."
