Online users made fun of Harper's weight after pictures emerged of her enjoying a day out on the beach with her dad and brothers Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 15, and Cruz, 12. A user wrote: "She is massive, bigger than her mum! That child needs to lose weight!"

Another one said: "Harper is six which is long past time to have baby fat."

"Victoria was shocked and disgusted by the comments over her little girl. It really upset her and she would hate for Harper to ever read comments like those and become obsessed about her body image," a source told British tabloid, The Daily Star.

Beckham, 42, apparently had to be persuaded not to hit back at the trolls online.
