Indian and global superstar Shah Rukh Khan anchored the opening ceremony of the IPL 2025
Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal lit up the opening ceremony by performing live at the event. Later, Disha Patani and Karan Aujla joined the part at the Eden Gardens
They were followed by Kolkata Knight Riders' rising star Rinku Singh and Royal Challengers Bengaluru's stalwart Virat Kohli, who entertained the Kolkata crowd by showcasing some dance moves alongside Shah Rukh Khan
On the occasion of the 18th season, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Roger Binny presented the memento to the person with jersey number 18, Virat Kohli
The IPL 2025 trophy entered the ground on the wheels with two captains, Ajinkya Rahane (KKR) and Rajat Patidar (RCB)
To conclude the opening ceremony of the IPL 2025, a multi-layered cake was brought up on the stage
