During a T20I match between Australia and West Indies, star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell smashed a century. He scored 120 runs in just 55 deliveries. His knock was laced with 12 fours and 8 sixes
With this knock, Glenn Maxwell is now the second player to score five centuries in T20 Internationals which is the most by any batsman. Previously, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma achieved the feat against Afghanistan
Maxwell is now also the fastest to reach five T20I centuries. The Australia's all-rounder took just 94 innings to attain the feat. On the other hand, the second-leading century scorer in the format, Rohit Sharma took 143 innings to complete five centuries
Australia's Glenn Maxwell also broke the record of India's T20I specialist Suryakumar Yadav. The Australian all-rounder with his 120-run knock registered the highest score by number four batsman in the shortest format of the game. Previously, the record was in the name of Yadav who accumulated 117 runs off 55 deliveries against England back in the year 2022
Rohit Sharma is the second on the list with five centuries in T20Is, followed by Suryakumar Yadav with four. Czech Republic's Sabawoon Davizi and New Zealand's Colin Munro both have three centuries each registered to their names
