Virat Kohli has started the new year on a high after being appointed India's new ODI and T20 skipper.

The selectors announced Kohli as Team India skipper in the shorter formats as soon as MS Dhoni stepped down from the one-day and T20 captaincy.

Talking at an event in Pune on Wednesday, the 28-year-old Delhi lad had said, "It's surreal. When I came into the team, I was just looking to perform, I never thought the path will lead me this way. I have been captain of teams in junior cricket, but being captain of India is special, it's the hot seat. But one thing that comes with it is responsibility."

Well, Kohli, who has started training with Team India at Pune ahead of Sunday's encounter vs England in the first of the three one-dayers, went into nostalgic mode on Thursday.

The Team India captain shared a picture of himself from his junior cricket days on Twitter and asked his fans if they could identify him.

Kohli is a role model for not just budding cricketers, but all youngsters who want to excel in life. And he proved it yet again with his nostalgic picture for it just reiterates the fact that there is a lot of hard work behind his success.

The picture shows Kohli along with his fellow junior cricket teammates paying attention to a coach.

After posting this photo, he asked his fans to spot him in the picture, a task that's not too difficult for them. Some even identified a few other teammates of Kohli's in the picture. They are said to be Iqbal Abdullah, Shreevats Goswami, Manish Pandey and Kuldeep Yadav.

While there's confusion over the identity of his teammates, Kohli is easily recognizable and most fans comfortably won the 'Spot me' contest.

Kohli doesn't seem to have lost any of the spark and passion for the game visible in picture and for the sake of Indian cricket, we can only hope he doesn't lose the same appetite for excellence.
