Hyderabad: Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar lent his support to the road safety campaign, although impromptuly, by advising two-wheeler riders to wear helmet.
Two youngsters on a bike spotted Sachin sitting in his car which had stopped at a traffic signal in Hyderabad. When they came close to take selfie with him, he advised them to wear helmet.
"Make a promise. You will wear helmet next time. It's dangerous to you, Life is very precious. Is that a promise..100 percent?" This is how Sachin, who is also a Rajya Sabha member, extracted the promise from the youths.
As the car started to move, a man riding the two-wheeler with a woman on pillion waved at Sachin.
Sachin waved back at him and also advised, "Helmet dalo bhai."
The batting legend on Sunday posted the video on his twitter page. "Helmet Dalo!! Road safety should be highest priority for everyone. Please don't ride without a helmet," he tweeted.
The video was apparently taken when Sachin was here on April 5 to attend the opening ceremony of Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
