Dalvi, who served Central Railways for a while, turned out as a swing bowler for Madhya Pradesh in four Ranji Trophy matches across 1958-59 and 1959-60. On the Mumbai club circuit, he played for Sunder CC. He was club secretary when Sunder CC won the ‘A’ division Kanga League in 1990. Soft-spoken Dalvi was highly instrumental in Sunder CC’s 1968 ‘B’ division triumph.
