Uthappa got married to long-time girlfriend Sheethal, a former tennis player, in March last year.Uthappa is not a regular member of the current Indian team, but is an important part for the Indian Premier League side Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). For the current Ranji Trophy season, he opted to play for Saurashtra from Karnataka.
