India's under-19 World Cup-winning captain, Prithvi Shaw's Vakola, Santacruz (East) neighbourhood watched Saturday's final on a big screen. And it was no surprise to see them distributing sweets when the winning runs were scored in New Zealand. However, there was no sign of Prithvi's father, Pankaj and those who hoped to meet him before and after the conclusion of the match were left disappointed. That included the media, who had arrived for bytes from a man who has made many sacrifices to see his son emerge as a shining star.

Why would Pankaj not watch the match in his house, the media wondered. Probably, he just wanted to be alone and watch his son's biggest-ever game. Maybe, Pankaj did not want to grab the limelight when his son deserved it all. Whatever the reason, hope you enjoyed the moment, Pankaj. You deserve to feel very proud.
