IPL 2017 has witnessed some shocking moments and gaffes, both on the field and off it. Fielders have missed sitters and batsmen have been dismissed in bizarre manners. But nothing beats the gaffe committed by Rising Pune Supergiant leg-spinner Adam Zampa and his girlfriend Hattie Leigh Palmer.

Like most foreigners who come to India and fall in love with the country, Zampa and his beau too wanted to try their hand at some Indian language. It would seem that some 'cruel friend' of their's, like it has happened to many in our youth, misguided them and taught them some expletives. Obviously they must have been given a 'wrong' translation of the words and the consequence was disastrous.

The 25-year-old cricketer and his girl indulged in some PDA on Instagram recently and it went horribly wrong.

Hattie went on the phot-sharing platform and shared a photo of herself with Zampa. This was fine, but while leaving a thank you note for her trip to India, she added some Hindi words that were 'unparliamentory' in nature and left everyone on social media in splits.

While that wasn't he end of it. The 'Comedy of Errors' continued with Zampa replying with another Hindi expletive that would leave many shocked and red-faced if used in public.

Of course, social media had a field day.
