It is learnt that Saba Karim (East), Rajinder Singh Hans (Central) and Roger Binny (South) will not be reappointed for what would have been their last year as a selector. Chairman of selectors, Sandeep Patil's (West) fate is not certain.
The quartet were appointed in October 2012 along with Vikram Rathour (North). It is also learnt that some BCCI officials are pushing for Mohinder Amarnath. In such a scenario, Rathour from North Zone will have to make way for Amarnath.
However Rathour is unlikely to face the axe as he is said to be close to BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur. BCCI can also nominate Amarnath from the West Zone at the expense of Patil since the former India batsman has also played for Baroda towards the end of his first-class career.
