Indian cricket team led by Virat Kohli suffered a shocking loss to hosts West Indies in their one-off T20I at Sabina Park on Sunday and a lot had to do with their performance on the field.

Batting first, Team India posted a defendable target of 191 in their 20 overs. But it was not enough to hold the Windies off and little did they know that a below-par fielding performance would give opener Evin Lewis the innings of his life.

It all began in the sixth over when Evin Lewis was dropped by India's Mohammad Shami during a Bhuvneshwar Kumar over. After Evin Lewis hit the ball in the air, Virat Kohli and Mohammad Shami ran towards it. Just as Virat Kohli looked good enough to take it, Shami interfered and messed up a potential wicket.

Evin Lewis had a second scare when Kuldeep Yadav flighted a delivery to lure him into hitting a six. Evin Lewis could only get the end of his bat to the ball which led to a gift for team India, only for Dinesh Karthik to come in and drop it.

India did not stop there, as even the brilliant and quick Mahendra Singh Dhoni missed two stumpings, which included Marlon Samuels.

Evin Lewis went on to smash a 62-ball unbeaten 125 runs as West Indies chased down the target with 9 balls to spare.
