The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma will have a huge responsibility on his shoulders ahead of the IND vs ENG 2nd Test. India has already lost the first test match against England by 28 runs.

Team India won the toss and elected to bat first against England. The visitors are leading the five-match test series with 1-0 after securing a win in the first match.

Rajat Patidar who was named as the replacement will now feature in the IND vs ENG 2nd Test. Mohammed Siraj has been rested in the second test match to manage the workload.
KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja will not play the second test match due to injury. Sarfaraz Khan, Washington Sundar and Sourabh Kumar have been added to India's squad but will have to wait for their chance to come.

Ahead of the IND vs ENG 2nd Test, not many players have much experience at the international level except Indian skipper Rohit Sharma. Jasprit Bumrah will be the deputy alongside Rohit.
England named two changes for the 2nd Test. Mark Wood who went wicketless in the first test is replaced by veteran fast bowler James Anderson. Jack Leach who put on a dominating show with the ball in the first test has sustained a knee injury. Debutant Shoaib Bashir is all set to play the second test match against India.
During the first test match, the Indian batsmen struggled against an English spinner in their backyard. Mark Wood, the lone spinner did not pick any wickets in the first match.
